Last night I got a glass of wine and settled down to watch the housewives. I was ready for some drama. And what I got was the Luann Show. Other then thinking that by the end of the season both Kelly and the governor of New York will have restraining orders against Ramona and once again having my eyes burned by the sight of waaay too much Alex and Simon yet again...I don't have anything interesting to say about the other girls. So if you don't want to read about the "Discountess" you may want to skip this post!
First of all, the surfing lesson. I actually liked this scene, they were all getting along and it seemed like fun. Until Luann made Bethenny pay! How rude was that! I really hope that was just editing and someone so concerned with manners wouldn't skip out of paying for her surfing lesson. Well maybe she had to get back to Castle de Lesseps, where at long last the children's true parent---the housekeeper, Roseanna---was returning. How dare she leave to go see her real family and stick the countess with the laundry. Not to mention the fact that she didn't even compliment Luann right away, unbelievable...clearly Roseanna will be getting a copy of the etiquette book. Now that her servant was back Luann could go to lunch again and talk about sending her daughter to boarding school. I must say I agree with Ramona's point on this (why would you have kids to send them away?) but in true Ramona fashion, she went way over the top and should have kept her opinions to herself. Speaking of her daughter, Victoria, Luann planned a going away lunch for Victoria and her friends. It seemed like a nice thought until it became more of a manner class and less of a going away lunch. I didn't like how she talked about Victoria chewing with her mouth open in front of her friend or how she seemed to make fun of the girl who asked a question...something about it just seemed so mean spirited.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Get over yourself Luann!
