Very few people know about this and before I go into it I need to make sure you know the back story.
When I was a very little girl my mother realized I had a bit of a TV addiction, she would put something on for me and then she couldn't pull me away. Thus she imposed very strict TV rules...no TV on school days...no putting on the TV without asking...no TV in your bedroom...and no watching "adult" TV shows. These rules continued, although not as severe, right up until I went to college.
When I did get to college and had a TV in my room I went crazy. For some reason I was especially drawn to watching all of those "adult" shows I wasn't allowed to watch during my childhood. I spent many an hour finally watching "The Nanny" and "Roseanne." I know most of these shows are horribly cheesy and if they were on now I would mock them. I have a problem.
This behavior has never really stopped, and this past fall I started watching "Beverly Hills 90210" reruns on Soap Net every night when I got home for work. K had just started law school so he wasn't home in the evenings and most of my regular shows didn't start until 8 or 9. Since then I have watched 90210 while I eat dinner almost every night, and when I can't watch I record them.
Yes, 10+ years after the show was actually on, 90210 has a new fan (I could care less about the new one by the way.) Somewhere in TV heaven Aaron Spelling is smiling down on me.
Why am I bringing this up now? Well, I started off in the second season and have watched in all the way through and tonight is the series finale (I know what happens so don't worry about spoiling it.) Then it will start over again...I plan on watching until I catch up to where I started in the fall (boy, have I missed Brenda) but then who knows? I can not watch it all over again. I need a new (or old) show to fill the oncoming void in my evenings.
I can't imagine my evenings without 90210...now you may judge me. I know I have had it coming.

that's hilarious! 90210 will always be awesome! LOL..And you totally sound like me, I got obsessed with the show Frasier years after it ended. (I have since named my dogs Niles & Frasier! lol). I will never judge TV addiction because I completely understand it! :)
Haha. I love watching all the old shows I never got to (was too young for 90210!) - especially when you can watch them all really quickly.
I love Roseanne...it is one of my favorite shows.
