-K and I both got our taxes done. Last year I got a pretty big return so I was hoping for the same thing again, sadly that wasn't the case, but at least I didn't owe anything.
-One of these just opened up by my parent's house. It is so good!
-There is a bird caught in our dryer vent, this has happened about 6 times since we have lived in our apartment and it is SO ANNOYING! It's making all kinds of noise right now. We told them about it, them being the apartment management, on Friday and they still haven't come to get it out. I need to do laundry and I'm not sure it turning on the dryer would kill it or drive it out.
-We didn't do anything big for Valentine's Day but it was still very nice. K surprised me with flowers and a latte in the morning then we went out to brunch.

I didn't know that birds could get stuck in a dryer vent. Poor little guy must have been very scared!

Those flowers are beautiful! Nice job, K! We had a nice low key V-Day too.
As for the bird, I can't believe those jerks haven't come to get the bird out yet. If it's stuck in there, I think turning on the dryer might do more harm than good. Poor bird. They need to get their asses in gear!

I know you are all concerned about the bird so I wanted to update you. The maint. guy came and he told me that the birds don't get stuck, they come in and out to get warm. Apparently it keeps happening to a lot of people so they are going to have a contractor come put bird gaurds in the next couple days. The contractor was supposed to come earlier but got snowed out.
The maint guy told me it was fine to run the dryer and the bird would just leave if I turn it on.

Oh, I heart frozen yogurt. I feel bad for the bird though, pretty sure you shouldn't just turn the drier on though!!!

We filed our taxes last week. Ugh. Funny, because even though we file jointly, I ask for a breakdown...and I earned money back! But the husband has to pay in! :)

YAY for flowers! Ugh that poor bird and YOU having to listen to it and wait for clean underpants!!! I hate that. When you call about something the rental agency needs to act on it ASAP! We waited 2 weeks to have our heat fixed and that darn possum removed! ICK! I hope they get there soon for you! And that the little birdie survives! Maybe they can put some mesh or wire over the opening?
