to buy or not to buy...that is the question

Jack Rogers Navajo Sandals. What are your thoughts?

I don't consider myself to be very preppy or anything but I feel like I like the "dress them up or down, wear with anything quality" that they have. Specifically the platinum colored ones (seen above.)

I have a $50 amazon gift card left over from Christmas so I could buy them there for essentially half off. But, I'm not sure if even at half off they are worth it. I have been really not shopping recently and I think they last a long time, right? But would it be better to just use my gift card for something practical? And put my $45 towards my new computer? It's a dilemma.

Are they worth spending $45 bucks on? Are they too preppy?
(all this is also hinging on me trying them on somewhere and seeing how they look/fit too)

I don't think any item is "too" anything. It's all about how you style it. If you like them...go for it. They're super cute!

I have seen them on people, and I love them!
ME, personally- WOULD never spend that much on sandals at this stage in my life(Unless I had a lot of extra money to spend). I am VERY rough on shoes and sandals. EVEN the expensive ones do not hold up on me....I used to spend a lot on shoes before I was married and owned a house though! :) Does that help!? :))

I would recommend getting the look alikes from Target, they are a fraction of the cost and the Jack Rogers can take a LOT of getting used to before they are comfortable...

I love them! I was going to post the link to the ones from Target that look very similar to those but someone already beat me to it :) So maybe you'd want to try the Target ones if you don't want to spend as much.

I think they're okay. They don't look to comfy though I don't know how much you care about that. I think you can get some better priced though.

I like them, but I bet you could find a cuter pair for less! I'd def splurge on a good pair of sandals though! They will last for atleast 2 spring/summer seasons I bet! Definitely a good investment! :)

I love the color, but not too into the shoe. But I'm all about doing what YOU want. So rock them out if you want!!

see i have a personal thing with them. the first time i ever went to nantucket (i had never been until the last like 10 years or so) i saw these everywhere- also for the first time. so i associate them with nantucket. which isn't necessarily bad, but not me. however, i would totally spend $45 on flip flops. so i say if you love them, get them. i would never recommend denying ones self of footwear.
