However, I am not giving up.

These have restored my faith in the maxi dress, but I am not willing to spend my entire savings on an clothing item I don't really think has much staying power.
I am on a quest to find reasonably priced, flattering maxi dresses for the summer.
Clothes from The Limited tend to fit me well so this might work. I like the halter top.
I tried on a few at Old Navy recently and ran into the waaaay too small in the top problem. I didn't see this one, too bad it doesn't come in more colors. I like the white but I am pretty pale, blue maybe?
This might be my favorite so far...plus it is neutral so I could wear it a lot, dress it up or dress it down.
I need help with my quest...do you wear maxi dresses? Any tips? Seen any cute ones anywhere? Leave me a comment with your maxi dress thoughts and head over to Big Mama's blog for more fabulous Fashion Friday fun!

I have one from last summer that I really like. However, I am a little tall so it is not quite as long as I would like. That might present a problem this summer as the trend seems to be even longer than last year. Guess I'll go shopping! ;-)
I went to Target and they have great jersey ones in all colors. The only bummer is that it is a racerback style. (I hate strapless bras) so I went to get a little clip that hooks your bra straps together and so I hope that works! And it was only $25!! I agree that most make you look preggo or they are too long but this one is really comfy. Good luck!
I wore a maxi dress last summer when I was pregnant and loved it -- but when i wear it now, I still look pregnant unfortunately!
I wish i could help but I'm OVERLY blessed on top so they never really work for me. LOL. I did see cute ones at Macy's though!
